Luo Mingjun is an artist born in Nanchong, China (Sichuan province). She studied Fine Arts at the Hunan Normal University, obtained a degree in literature, became an assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts and taught there for several years. Initiated the creation of an art group „0 Art“. Luo Mingjun undertook a trip to Tibet.

Luo Mingjun exhibits in Asia, Europe and Australia and obtains numerous prizes in China and Switzerland, both for her artworks, in Chinese ink, pencil, charcoal or oil as well as for her artistic installations: her aesthetic and avant-garde artwork is referenced by many international art publications. Her solo and group exhibitions are accompanied by numerous publications such as „ici et maintenant“ at the Pully Art Museum, „Poussière rouge“ at the Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart, „1/ 2 Allien“ at the Creek Art Center of Shanghai and Beijing.

Since 1992, Luo Mingjun’s artworks have been presented in the most important art fairs in Asia (China, Korea) as well as in Europe (Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Holland, Poland, Russia, Switzerland), such as Art Basel in Basel and in Hong Kong.

Several major public institutions in China, Switzerland (recently the new MCBA museum in Lausanne), Australia have already acquired works, not to mention that her artworks are also acquired by major private collectors of contemporary art (namely Uli Sigg Collection).

Luo Mingjun lives and works between Switzerland and China.

Luo Mingjun ist eine in Nanchong, China (Provinz Sichuan) geborene Künstlerin. Sie studierte Bildende Kunst an der Hunan Normal University, erwarb einen Abschluss in Literatur, wurde Assistentin an der Fakultät für Bildende Kunst und unterrichtete dort mehrere Jahre lang. Sie initiierte die Gründung der Künstlergruppe „0 Art“. Luo Mingjun unternimmt eine Reise nach Tibet.

Luo Mingjun stellt in Asien, Europa und Australien aus und erhält zahlreiche Preise in China und der Schweiz, sowohl für ihre Kunstwerke in chinesischer Tusche, Bleistift, Kohle oder Öl als auch für ihre künstlerischen Installationen: ihre ästhetischen und avantgardistischen Kunstwerke werden in vielen internationalen Kunstpublikationen referenziert. Ihre Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen werden von zahlreichen Publikationen begleitet, wie z.B. „ici et maintenant“ im Pully Art Museum, „Poussière rouge“ im Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart, „1/ 2 Allien“ im Creek Art Center of Shanghai and Beijing.

Seit 1992 wurden Luo Mingjuns Werke auf den wichtigsten Kunstmessen in Asien (China, Korea) sowie in Europa (Deutschland, Belgien, Dänemark, Frankreich, Holland, Polen, Russland, Schweiz), wie der Art Basel in Hongkong oder in der Schweiz, präsentiert.

Mehrere große öffentliche Einrichtungen in China, der Schweiz (kürzlich das neue MCBA-Museum in Lausanne) und Australien haben bereits Werke von Luo Mingjun erworben. Zudem werden ihre Werke von großen privaten Sammlern zeitgenössischer Kunst (u.a. Uli Sigg Sammlung) erworben.

Luo Mingjun lebt und arbeitet in der Schweiz und in China.

Luo Mingjun est une artiste née à Nanchong en Chine (province du Sichuan). Etudie aux Beaux-arts à l’université de normale du Hunan, obtient une licence en lettres, devient assistante à la faculté des beaux arts et y enseigne plusieurs années. Est à l’initiative de la création d’un groupe artistique « 0 Art ». Luo Mingjun entreprend un voyage au Tibet.

Luo Mingjun expose en Asie, en Europe et en Australie et obtient de nombreux prix en Chine et en Suisse, tant pour ses œuvres d’art, à l‘encre de chine, à la mine de plomb, au fusain ou encore à l’huile ainsi que pour ses installations artistiques : son travail aussi esthétique et avant-gardiste est référencé par de nombreux ouvrages internationaux sur l’art. Ses expositions individuelles et collectives sont accompagnées de nombreuses publications telles que « ici et maintenant » au musée d’art de Pully, « Poussière rouge » au Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart , « 1/ 2 Allien » au Creek Art Center of Shanghai et Beijing.

Depuis 1992 les œuvres d’art de Luo Mingjun sont présentées dans les foires d’art les plus importantes en Asie (Chine, Corée) comme en Europe (Allemagne, Belgique, Danemark, Frane, Hollande, Pologne, Russie, Suisse), que ce soit Art Basel à Hongkong ou en Suisse.

Plusieurs grandes institutions publiques en Chine, en Suisse (récemment le nouveau musée MCBA à Lausanne), en Australie ont déjà acquis des œuvres, sans compter que ses œuvres d’art sont acquises également par de grand(e)s collectionneuses et collectionneurs privés d’art contemporain (dont Uli Sigg Collection).

Luo Mingjun vit et travaille entre la Suisse et la Chine.
