Luo Mingjun (罗明君) is an artist born in Nanchong, China (Sichuan Province) in 1963. She studied Fine Arts at Hunan Normal University, obtained a degree in Literature, became an assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts and taught there for several years. She initiated the formation of the art group „0 Art“. Luo Mingjun has travelled to Tibet.

Luo Mingjun has exhibited in Asia, Europe and Australia, and has received numerous awards in China and Switzerland, both for her works in Chinese ink, pencil, charcoal or oil, and for her artistic installations: her aesthetic and avant-garde works are referenced by many international art publications. Her solo and group exhibitions are accompanied by numerous publications, such as „ici et maintenant“ at the Pully Art Museum, „Poussière rouge“ at the Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart, „1/ 2 Allien“ at the Creek Art Center of Shanghai and Beijing.

Since 1992, Luo Mingjun’s works have been presented at the most important art fairs in Asia (China, Korea) and Europe (Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Holland, Poland, Russia, Switzerland), such as Art Basel in Basel and in Hong Kong. Several important public institutions in China, Switzerland (recently the new MCBA museum in Lausanne) and Australia have acquired her works, not to mention the major private collectors of contemporary art (notably the Uli Sigg Collection).

She lives and works in Switzerland and China.

Die Künstlerin Luo Mingjun wurde 1963 in Nanchong in der chinesischen Provinz Sichuan geboren.

Sie studierte Bildende Kunst an der Hunan Normal University, erwarb einen Abschluss in Literatur, wurde Assistentin an der Fakultät für Bildende Kunst und unterrichtete dort mehrere Jahre. Sie initiierte die Gründung der Künstlergruppe „0 Art“. Luo Mingjun reist nach Tibet.
Luo Mingjun stellt in Asien, Europa und Australien aus und erhält in China und der Schweiz zahlreiche Preise sowohl für ihre Kunstwerke in Tusche, Bleistift, Kohle oder Öl als auch für ihre Kunstinstallationen: Ihre ästhetischen und avantgardistischen Arbeiten werden in vielen internationalen Kunstpublikationen besprochen. Ihre Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen werden von zahlreichen Publikationen begleitet, darunter „ici et maintenant“ im Kunstmuseum Pully, „Poussière rouge“ im Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart, „1/ 2 Allien“ im Creek Art Center von Shanghai und Beijing.

Seit 1992 wurden die Werke von Luo Mingjun auf den wichtigsten Kunstmessen in Asien (China, Korea) und Europa (Deutschland, Belgien, Dänemark, Frankreich, Holland, Polen, Russland, Schweiz) ausgestellt, darunter die Art Basel in Hongkong und die Art Basel in der Schweiz.

Mehrere große öffentliche Institutionen in China, der Schweiz (kürzlich das neue Museum MCBA in Lausanne) und Australien haben bereits Werke von Luo Mingjun erworben. Ihre Werke befinden sich auch in den Sammlungen bedeutender Privatsammlerinnen und -sammler zeitgenössischer Kunst (u.a. Uli Sigg).

Ses expositions individuelles et collectives sont accompagnées de nombreuses publications telles que Ici et maintenant au musée d’art de Pully, Poussière rouge au Kunsthaus Centre d’art Pasquart, 1/2 Alien au Creek Art Center of Shanghai et Beijing.

Depuis 1992, les œuvres de Luo Mingjun sont présentées dans les foires d’art les plus importantes d’Asie (Chine, Corée) comme d’Europe (Allemagne, Belgique, Danemark, France, Hollande, Pologne, Russie, Suisse), que ce soit Art Basel à Hong Kong ou en Suisse.

Plusieurs grandes institutions publiques en Chine, en Suisse (le nouveau musée MCBA à Lausanne notamment) et en Australie ont déjà acquis des œuvres, sans compter que ses créations sont également acquises par de grandes collectionneuses et collectionneurs privés d’art contemporain (dont la collection d’Uli Sigg).

Luo Mingjun vit et travaille entre la Suisse et la Chine.
