Wang Jing is an artist, born in 1983 in Changsha (Hunan), China. After her university studies in Economics, Wang Jing arrives in France in 2002 and starts to learn French. She studies at the Ecole Supérieure d’Art et de Design in Grenoble,. The city grants her a scholarship and she graduated with honors. Wang Jing sculpts, photographs, draws and makes videos.

Wang Jing works on individual and collective memory, as well as on the perception of truth in everyday life. With poetry and humor, she explores visual forms, proposes narratives between fiction and reality, and shifts the focus of the gaze by introducing an element of enigma and hope.

Her most remarkable artistic works include the series „Conte“ in 2010-2013 – photography ,which speaks of imaginary continents – ; „Château 318“,installation for the European Biennial of Contemporary Art in 2013, around the theme „outside and dreams“; Family Dinner, philosophical performance at the Museum of Hunting and Nature in Paris; „White Ocean“, performance for children in 2019 (with origami of white roses) as part of the prestigious contemporary art fair Asia Now Paris. His new sculptures (Kingdom, Jade Night..), accompanied by photographs, will be exhibited at Red Zone Arts in 2021. The sculptures are composed of rough semi-precious stones and origami made of various papers: each piece is unique, presented on a base made of brass and wood with a patina, and protected by a hand-blown glass globe.

Several institutions, as well as prestigious public and private art fairs in Europe and Asia have already shown and acquired several of her artworks and allowed the realization of her performances. Wang Jing’s artworks art can also be found in many art collections.

Wang Jing ist eine Künstlerin, die 1983 in Changsha (Hunan), China, geboren wurde. Nach ihrem Universitätsstudium kam Wang Jing 2002 nach Frankreich und lernte Französisch. Sie studierte an der Ecole Supérieure d’Art et de Design in Grenoble, einer Stadt, die ihr ein Stipendium gewährte, und schloss ihr Studium mit Auszeichnung ab. Wang Jing arbeitet als Bildhauerin, Fotografin, Zeichnerin und Videokünstlerin.

Zu ihren herausragenden künstlerischen Arbeiten gehören beispielsweise die Fotoserie „Conte“ (2010-2013), die von imaginären Kontinenten spricht, die Installation „Château 318“ für die Europäische Biennale für zeitgenössische Kunst 2013 zum Thema „Draußen und Träume“, „Family Dinner“, eine philosophische Performance im Museum für Jagd und Natur in Paris, und die Performance „White Ocean“ (2019) für Kinder (mit Origami aus weißen Rosen) im Rahmen der renommierten Messe für zeitgenössische Kunst Asia Now Paris. Seine neuen Skulpturen (Kingdom, Jade Night…), die von Fotografien begleitet werden, werden 2021 bei Red Zone Arts ausgestellt. Die Skulpturen bestehen aus rohen Halbedelsteinen und Origami aus verschiedenen Papieren: jedes Stück ist ein Unikat, das auf einem Sockel aus patiniertem Messing und Holz präsentiert wird und von einer mundgeblasenen Glaskugel geschützt wird.

Mehrere Institutionen, renommierte öffentliche und private Kunstmessen in Europa und Asien haben bereits mehrere ihrer Werke ausgestellt und erworben und die Realisierung ihrer Performances ermöglicht. Wang Jings Kunstwerke sind in vielen Kunstsammlungen zu finden.

Ses travaux artistiques marquants sont par exemple la série « Conte » en 2010-2013, photographies parlant de continents imaginaires ; « Château 318 », installation pour la biennale européenne d’art contemporain en 2013, autour du thème « dehors et de rêves » ; Dîner familial, performance philosophique au Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature à Paris ; « Océan blanc » performance en 2019 pour des enfants (avec des origamis de roses blanches ) dans le cadre de la prestigieuse foire d’art contemporain Asia Now Paris. Ses nouvelles sculptures (Royaume, La nuit de Jade…) accompagnées de photographies, seront exposées à Red Zone Arts en 2021. Les sculptures sont composées de pierres semi-précieuses brutes et d’origamis en papiers variés : chaque pièce est unique, présentée sur un socle en laiton et bois patinés, et protégée sous globe en verre soufflé artisanal.

Plusieurs institutions et foires d’art prestigieuses publiques ou privées en Europe et en Asie ont déjà montré et acquis plusieurs de ses œuvres d’art et permis la réalisation de ses performances. Les oeuvres d’art de Wang Jing trouvent également leur place dans de nombreuses collections d’art.
